NEWprojects757 is a youth environmental club that formed with the desire to make positive changes in Norfolk regarding the environment. We believe change starts local and we are committed to saving the environment one project at a time.
Living in Ghent I walk by the Hague almost daily. It frustrates me to see the amount of never-ending trash that finds its way to The Hague in Norfolk. I've met others that feel the same way and decided to form Norfolk Environmental Warriors to bring about positive change for the environment.
Are you passionate about the environment? Do you want to do something locally? Let us know! We are always looking for volunteers to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!
At the east end, the Hague ends at the Chrysler Museum of Art, with its Italianate architecture. At the other end is a handsome view of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church, which resembles an English cathedral. This beautiful body of water is often tainted by the piles of trash that end up in its waters. To restore its former glory, the Norfolk Environmental Warriors, as well as others, are working to pick up the filth.
